Support Dayu who lost her daughter

Hi everyone, my name is Kajsa and I started this fundraiser to help Dayu, a sweetheart mother who lost her daughter a few days ago.

Dalisa was born in January 2023 and has since been in and out of hospitals for several reasons.

Dayu, the mother, is Indonesian, and lived with her Thai husband in Bangkok until they decided he should take a work opportunity in the Bahamas for a year so they could get their own home for their new family. Dayu moved back to Bali where she felt the environment would be better for Dalisa and she could communicate better with doctors.

Dalisa has fought for her life since she was born. She spent her first 5 days in NICU, followed by 4 visits in and out of ICU for bacteria, lung issues, and finally pneumonia that eventually took her life.

Dalisa was not even 9 months old when she left this earthlife to fly high a week ago. Dayu lost her baby daughter, and the father was unable to hold his daughter one last time.

Because Dalisa was born in Thailand, she wasn’t yet a Indonesian citizen. The process required they go to Singaraja, but Dayu got sick followed by Dalisa relapsing. So Dalisa’s hospital bills weren’t covered by the national healthcare.

The hospital bills + ceremonies + cremation costs have piled up for her and are close to 50 mil rupiah. (4700 AUD / 3000 USD/ 2800 Euro) Her bpjs won’t cover that.

She has had to take a loan to be able to pay everything. She has not been able to work since her daughter was born. On top of that, she has had to deal with this without her husband being able to be here.

Dayu is part of our Momgroup community in Bukit and even if most of the moms never met her, we got together as a community and donated as we individually could. Our small momgroup in Bukit has collected close to 10 mil rupiah to help Dayu financially.

However, there is still a LOT left to cover all her expenses and we want to reach out to larger Momgroups for more support!

I started this fundraise for others to donate more easily and raise your hearts to support and love this woman who lost her baby.

Apart from the immense psychological challenge she'd be dealing with now, she's also been affected by all these expenses.

She should not have to think about her financial situation in this time of healing and grief.

I asked for Dayu’s permission to share her story in the bigger Bali momgroups so that more moms & parents could get together and help her with financial support ❤️ She is forever greatful and would give you a warm hug along with a beautiful smile if she met you one day!

Friday 27th October was the last ceremony for Dalisa, held in Denpasar — a few days before she would have been 9 months old.

I saw a butterfly circle over us as the monk gave his last prayers. “Dalisa is happy now,” said Dayu when I told her about the butterfly.

Soo sorry the fundraise had to be set in Swedsh Krona due to Indonesia isn't on the list of countries where GoFundMe operate in so I couldn't add her bank account. Hence why I needed to use my Wise bank details registerd with my adress in Sweden.
