Hello everyone, my name is Dayonna Maignan-Smith and I study Marketing at Howard University. I am so close to the finish line, but I need some help getting there. I was supposed to graduate in May 2025, but there were some rough patches.

Although I am able to graduate, I can in 2026 since I only have to finish one semester. Unfortunately, I somehow owe 25K for fall 2024. I was notified too late and was not getting the proper help I needed, which led me to where I am now.

I made it this far and it just seems unnecessary to give up now when I am so close. I can't give up; I won't, not when I have worked this hard and have come this close. I chose Howard University not only because of the wonderful HBCU community, but because I wanted to prove something to myself coming from a low-income and single-parent household, that I too can have an education, a future career, and a dream of being something bigger.

Please, any help, big or small, help is help and that is all I ask for. Each and every contribution matters, and I will be so ever grateful and blessed for everyone who is able to help or even share my story.
