Support Daylees Recovery After Paralyzing Accident
Donation protected
Daylee Platt has a challenging road ahead of him and we want to make sure he can fully focus on his recovery and not worry about finances!
As most of you know Daylee was in a very bad car accident Saturday September 28, 2024. He had a seizure while driving causing him to go off the roadway, hit a culvert, and go airborne. He was first transport via ambulance to Hutchinson Health then he was life-flighted to HCMC in Minneapolis. Daylee’s accident resulted in a severe spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the waist down.
Daylee had an initial surgery to decompress the spinal cord followed by an 8 hour spinal surgery that included spinal fusion of the T9 to L3 with placement of rod and screws to stabilize the spine. Daylee hopes to walk again as doctors have high hopes with his age and determination.
As an 18 year old you can image the impact this has had on Daylee. The funds raised will aid Daylee in his recovery by helping with medical costs and renovations of Daylee’s house as he works to make it wheelchair accessible.
We know Daylee is a fighter and so far he has done his job and fought extremely hard! Thank you for keeping him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
