Hi! My name is Dayjah Rose. I am currently 28 years old. This month I am 14 years in remission from cancer . As a young girl I was blessed enough to come across a team of surgeons and nurses and everyone in-between who took care of me, my body and gave me wonderful chances and results in life. I thank God for the work everyone does! This year I recently graduated a CNA school and am working full time as a nursing tech (soon headed to school to become an RN)

The reason for this campaign is because I am in need of surgery. During recovery at 14, I underwent extensive radiation and it has now negatively affected my vision in both eyes . Over the last few years my vision has become damaged and is now in danger of being at a total loss. My vision decline has dramatically impacted my day to day, my work, and has even delayed me applying for schools. The doctors have made it clear that this operation is absolutely necessary and needs to happen sooner than later.

I have already pushed back the date for surgery due to the cost. And even in just 4 weeks, I can see more damage to my eyes. For a description, think of a window full of condensation that is also frosted over; that is how I currently see. I have been told that until this issue is corrected with surgery, my vision will get worse (with the potential of my retina tearing) and that glasses will be of no help until the correction.

I appreciate any and all donations, whether they are of monetary value or simple prayers. I do work full time, and I do have insurance. The cost I am asking for help for is the copay and unfortunately I keep delaying the surgery because I do not make enough for expenses and to save that amount in the amount of time that the surgery would need to be performed.
