Hello, my name is Amy Lopez, and I’m the sister of Dayanara Lopez.

On June 1st, Dayanara and a friend were on their way from Fresno to San Francisco for what was supposed to be a simple beach trip. The driver told her to rest, promising to wake her when they arrived. But about an hour into the drive, everything changed, the driver lost control and crashed into a wall.

Dayanara was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. Doctors told us her jaw had split in two and that she would need surgery. She’s currently awake and recovering, but the physical and emotional trauma she now faces is something no one should have to go through, especially when she was just a passenger, asleep, trusting that she was safe.

We are so grateful that she’s alive, but this accident has left our family even more devastated. The emotional weight is heavy and now the financial strain is growing too. Dayanara won’t be able to work for a while, and the medical bills are already piling up. Even with support from loved ones, it’s not enough to cover it all.

I’m reaching out to ask for help , not just with hospital costs, but to give my sister space to heal without the pressure of financial fear. Every donation, is a step toward giving her the comfort and support she needs during this painful time.
