English/Ingles: E is a 24-year-old, beloved, and hard-working MacArthur Park community member. He makes his living as a day laborer at the Westlake Home Depot. Like so many other day laborers, he has been the victim of the federal government’s brutal and violent campaign against immigrants here in Los Angeles.

On August 6, E was looking for work when dozens of Border Patrol agents jumped out of a Penske truck and began detaining people at random in the Home Depot parking lot. During the now infamous raid, E was chased by the armed agents. Fearing for his safety, E made a 15-foot jump over the wall of the Home Depot, severely injuring his leg in the process.

After the fall, E had to undergo a costly surgery. It will take months for him to be able to walk again and return to work. As he is without work, he is now struggling to make ends meet so that he can pay for rent and other necessities. While he recovers, he needs your support to make sure that he can afford to stay in his home and in the community he has called home for many years. Please donate what you can. E and his family are eternally grateful for any support in these turbulent times.
