Hi, my name is Dawood. I have been diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma Cancer, both high grade and low grade stage 3. I have been having health problems for the past 9 years, and doctors could not find out why I was having pain in my abdomen and vomiting. We did all tests, but still couldn’t find anything. Then in October 2023, I went to the hospital and was suggested to check with an oncologist. So we did, and he did a PET scan on November 1, 2023. Two hours later, the doctor called us and told my wife to take me to the hospital immediately for a biopsy. The mass was a 20 cm circle surrounding my small intestines. My condition was deteriorating daily, and I had to visit the hospital 4 times in November. Every time I had an appointment to get a port installed, I ended up canceling because of hospitalization, so they had to rush me to install it in the hospital. Then I went for chemotherapy. I had lost a lot of weight.

I couldn’t work since October because of the cancer and didn’t feel well at all. My wife had to start working as an Uber driver and also take me to all my doctor’s appointments while also taking care of our daughter. While working on December 29, 2023, at night, she was working and I had a problem. I had gone to the bathroom and my stool was just blood; it happened 4 times in 2 hours. I called her and she had to stop working just to come home and take me to the hospital. From there, they kept me in ICU for 3 weeks. I had a colonoscopy done the next day, and I had an endoscopy done. One hour after, I had a major heart attack. I was not aware at the moment, but my wife and daughter did not know if I was going to survive. At that moment, my wife couldn’t work and pay the bills. We got so behind that she couldn’t pay for our 2 cars. She was very worried about me, our daughter, and the bills. I got better and was able to come home.

In March 2024, I had another heart attack but a minor one. I am now doing radiation therapy and just got done by the end of June. With only early retirement that I just got, it is not enough to pay all past due bills. Toyota came and repossessed one of our cars, and now we only have one car left, but it is in the process of getting repossessed too soon. The hospital bills are so much, and the insurance paid some but not all, and now they are asking for $77,000.

And to make things worse, my husband got robbed at gunpoint inside the apartment community complex. Now, in May 2025, I went to the hospital again with chest pains, and they found my cancer coming back, this time a mass on my chest and water in my lungs, and also a smaller mass on my kidney. It’s now getting worse since he is still in the hospital.

I’m asking for help with my condition because the hospital fees are so much higher and to help my wife and daughter to pay some of the bills we have. We have nothing left now, please help and donate generously.
