The recent Eaton Fire has been devastating for so many in our community, and while my dear friend Dawn was fortunate not to lose her home or possessions, she is still under mandatory evacuation and cannot access her home as it remains uninhabitable due to fire and wind damage. For over a week, she has been displaced, unable to access her personal belongings, and has had to cover the unexpected out-of-pocket expenses of hotel stays, meals, and essential items for herself, her 2 children, and 3 pets.

I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping her cover these unexpected expenses. While we recognize the losses some have faced are unimaginable, Dawn’s situation is also a reminder that the ripple effects of such events can take a heavy toll on everyone affected.

This fundraiser is intended to help her cover these unexpected costs and ease the financial burden of her temporary displacement, focusing on needs that FEMA or other resources may not address.

Your generosity will go toward expenses like temporary accommodations, meals, and replacing necessities she couldn’t bring with her during the evacuation.
