Support Dawn Handy-Murphy's Stroke Recovery

Hi, my name is Joseph, and I'm starting a fundraiser for my mother and father. My mother's name is Dawn Handy-Murphy. As of February 2025 my mom suffered a bilateral stroke, which left her bedridden. Prior to this, she was going through dialysis as her kidney's were failing, and she has been dealing with diabetes since she was 19 years old. She has been in two different hospitals and she now resides in a rehab center in Norfolk called Lake Taylor. Unfortunately due to the way the healthcare system is setup, her and my dad are being billed for what their health insurance does not cover, which is quite a lot unfortunately. My dad is seeking every which way possible to help her in this situation, on top of maintaining their home that they worked so hard for. As hard as it is to ask for help, this is my plea. My mother is strong and I know she will recover from this, regardless of all the obstacles being thrown her way. I know I set a high goal, but anything helps. These funds will go straight to my father to help him in anyway necessary when it comes to my mom. Thank you, and God bless.
