Dawn is a devoted mother to her two sons, Joey and Ben, and her love for her family shines through in everything she does. Dawn is known for her fun-loving, outgoing spirit, always bringing joy and laughter to those around her. Her positive energy and warmth have made her a beloved friend, teacher, and neighbor.
Dawn has dedicated 35 years of her life to teaching in underserved communities, working with Head Start, and GSRP programs in Berkley and Detroit; most recently working as a Montessori teacher with DPS teaching preschool and Kindergarten. She has always gone above and beyond for her students, ensuring every child feels valued and supported. For many years, she reached out to us to help ensure each student in her classes had a new pair of jammies and a book for Christmas. Beyond the classroom, Dawn has been a pillar in her community, volunteering for local hockey and baseball teams and supporting the Walled Lake Schools sports teams. Her kindness and generosity have touched countless lives.
Recently, Dawn was diagnosed with a GIST tumor. Despite undergoing surgery, the procedure was unsuccessful, and she is now facing serious complications that prevent her from working. As a result, her medical and living expenses are piling up, adding financial stress to an already difficult situation. After years of giving so much to others, Dawn now finds herself in need of support.
Any contribution will go directly toward easing the financial burden caused by her illness, allowing her to focus on healing. Your kindness and generosity can make a real difference for Dawn during this challenging time.
