At the beginning of June, our beloved friend and DCV church member Dawn Clegg and her three children experienced a heartbreaking house fire that left their home uninhabitable. While we are incredibly thankful for their safety and for immediate help with temporary housing from her insurance provider, there are many essential needs that remain uncovered. As Dawn navigates this difficult time, she's facing unexpected and ongoing expenses:
- Extra gas for commuting
- Food and meals while living without full kitchen access
- Basic daily necessities
- Clothing and household essentials for her and her kids
How You Can Help:
1. Give Financially: Your donation will help ease the burden of these uncovered costs. Every gift—big or small—makes a difference.

2. Donate Gift Cards: Gift cards are a practical way to support Dawn and her kids:
- Groceries: Walmart, Kroger
- Meals: McDonald’s, Bob Evans, Red Robin, or any local restaurants
- Everyday Needs: Amazon, Target, Walmart, thrift stores
3. Provide Gently Used Clothing: If you have clothing in these sizes, donations are welcome:
- Kitana: girls 14/16 or XS/S adult tops, size 0 bottoms
- Mikey: boys 10/12
- Nico: boys 7
- Dawn: women’s XL tops, size 14 bottoms
To arrange a drop-off, please contact Jo Stottlemire or bring items to Delaware City Vineyard (DCV) on Sundays, during office hours, or coordinate a drop-off time. Most importantly, please lift this family in prayer—for peace, provision, wisdom, and hope in this hard season. Let’s show the love of Christ by surrounding the Cleggs with compassion and care.
Thank you so much for your support.
