When you see her you see a fierce woman who is a strong courageous mother , a loving wife to Jerry  , a one in a million MeMe and a special Christian friend.

My mother Dawn Barrett born 07/07/1970 , recently received news in 2024 that her heart is failing due to genetics and she needs a transplant in order to live . For 35 years of my life I’ve watched my mother strive to eat healthy , drink water religiously and maintain a good ,balanced lifestyle. She has never harmed her body with alcohol, drugs or even smoked a cigarette. This news of her heart failing has took us all by surprise and now my mom is doing everything the drs have told her to do in order to become a candidate for a heart transplant. In August 2024, my mother had an ICD placed in Wilmington NC at Novant with an ejection fraction of 16% and LBBB, fast forward to December she had to have that removed and another one placed because of the leads being twirled around themselves and the device was facing the opposite direction of the pocket. This information was dictated in report. She had a successful second procedure also in Wilmington NC same hospital. My mother pictured above has been to Duke twice since then and has stayed constantly busy with checking off drs appts and evaluations . Medical bills are starting to come in and the overwhelming hospital stay cost. Not to mention the unknown cost of the heart transplant when that happens. I know the power of prayer works!
