Dawn and Al have always been the kind of people who put family and friends first. Dawn, my mother, spent years caring for her own mother as she battled dementia, never hesitating to give her time and love until her mother's recent passing. Al, my stepfather, has been a constant source of kindness and support for so many of our family and friends. When my father died, Al stepped into our lives and treated me as his own, even though I was a reluctant child at first. Their generosity and compassion have touched countless lives, and now they are the ones in need of help.

Both Dawn and Al are retired and facing overwhelming medical challenges. Al recently had a kidney removed due to cancer, and now he's been diagnosed with prostate cancer with a high Gleason score, making his prognosis uncertain. Dawn is currently undergoing knee replacement surgery, all while still paying off previous medical bills from past surgeries. On top of that, they are facing significant dental expenses that insurance simply won't cover. The financial burden is immense, and it's more than they can manage on their own.

Every dollar raised will go directly to paying their mounting medical bills. If there is any excess, it will help with their living expenses, especially if Al's cancer prognosis worsens and they need even more support.
