On August 17th, 2025, Davis suffered a catastrophic brain injury on his way to work. He was rushed to the emergency room and immediately had emergency surgery to remove half of his skull due to the swelling of his brain. He spent two weeks in the critical care unit with multiple skull fractures, was intubated and placed in a medically induced coma, and his family was told to prepare for the worst.

Davis is a beloved husband, soon-to-be father, brother, son, and friend to many who hold him dear. He was just starting a new journey, having married his wife in May, purchased a home to start a family in July, and discovered he was going to be a father all in the span of three blissful months. Davis is truly cherished by his family and friends with many pouring into the hospital and reaching out to offer support, prayers, and love upon hearing of his accident. At this time, Davis was moved from the critical care unit and into the neurology unit to begin the process of recovery and healing. His recovery will be a long road of unknowns, but his family trusts in his resilience and love for his wife and unborn child to make it through.

All donations will be used to ease the burden of medical expenses, ongoing treatment and planned surgeries, rehabilitation including physical, speech, and occupational therapy, and medical transportation fees. Due to the lack of rehabilitation facilities that can cater to his needs near his home, Davis will be soon transferred to a specialized brain injury rehabilitation facility in a neighboring state.
