Hi friends, This is a post on behalf of a very special 19-year-old young man, and beloved friend of my son Caz's, Davis Garrett, who was adopted with three siblings from Sierra Leone at 9 years old.

Unfortunately, through unforeseen circumstances, he has become solely responsible for his every need with no support from anyone but his friends. He's been a classmate at Valor Collegiate Academies and best friends with my son, Caz, since 5th grade. He was a varsity member of the 2023 state title-winning soccer team, has a smile that will light up any room, and has tremendous potential!

He's been living on his own for the past year, and a few families who love him have taken him under their wings and have worked hard to get him into Freed-Hardeman University here in Tennessee on a partial scholarship to play soccer. His apartment lease ran out this past May, and he didn't want to sign another lease because he will be moving to college in August. He moved in to stay with us in May. He has been working super hard to save money with double jobs, and we are super excited for him to start this brave new adventure as a college student!

We started an Amazon wish list with things he would need for his dorm room, and it was completely bought out in less than 12 hours! Our hope is that some of you may also feel inspired to bless this kiddo with some grace and a monetary gift so he can start his new life with what a kiddo needs when he starts college.
