My son, Davion, was recently diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a reality no parent is ever prepared to face. Hearing those words changed our lives instantly, and our family is still trying to process what this journey now looks like.

The past few years have already tested us in ways we never imagined. In 2024, we suffered the devastating loss of my father, a pillar of strength and love in our family. We were still learning how to move forward through that grief when Davion’s diagnosis came, hitting us with another wave of heartbreak and uncertainty. It has been overwhelming, painful, and deeply emotional for all of us.

Davion has been hospitalized since the beginning of January and will remain there until the end of February. During this time, he is undergoing intensive treatment that includes blood transfusions, chemotherapy four times a month, and daily steroid medications. Watching my child endure so much has been one of the hardest experiences of my life. Despite it all, Davion continues to show courage, strength, and resilience that inspires everyone around him.

As we navigate this difficult chapter, we are doing everything we can to stay strong for Davion while managing the emotional, physical, and financial strain that comes with long-term hospital care. We are leaning on faith, hope, and the kindness of others to help us get through each day.
