Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

On New Year’s Eve, our world was turned upside down. We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share that our beautiful, bright, loving 4-year-old daughter, Davina, has been diagnosed with leukemia. As any parent can imagine, hearing that your child has cancer is a nightmare we never thought we would face, and the emotional, physical, and financial strain has been overwhelming. But we are determined to fight with all our might for her, and we’re asking for your support in this crucial battle.

Our journey started with her eating and drinking less, she had no energy, and she slept 90% of the day for over a week. On Christmas Day, she had no interest in presents or playing with toys. She wanted to lie down away from everyone, and that was the first time my mother instinct felt something was wrong. I took her to her pediatrician on 12/28, and by 12/31 we were ending our day in the emergency room being told this devastating news.

At only 4 years old, Davina has already shown immense strength as she begins her treatment. Her journey is just starting with a bone marrow biopsy, spinal tap, and blood transfusion, and we know it will be long and challenging. I am going to have to take some time off of work to be here in the hospital with her, and her medications and necessary care are going to start mounting. We need your help to ensure she gets the best possible chance to fight this.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to Davina’s treatment, medications, travel expenses for hospital visits, and any other costs related to her care. Your support means the world to us, and it gives us the strength to stay positive as we navigate this difficult road.
