Support Davidson Cruz-Acosta's Family in Grief

We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved brother Davidson Cruz-Acosta, who touched the lives of everyone around them with their kindness, laughter, and spirit. During this incredibly difficult time, we are seeking help to cover funeral expenses and to provide support for Davidson’s son future needs, as well as for the family.

Davidson worked for the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission since April 2022 as a Safety Specialist with the Lodi NJ Road Test Operations team. Davidson made a lasting impact during his time with the Commission. He was remembered by his nearly one-dozen colleagues as a great co-worker whose joy, charisma, and positive energy made a lasting impact on everyone around him. As the teams “bodyguard,” he always had our backs in any situation. More than just an employee, he was like family—a brother to us all. Davidson will be greatly missed by all those who have had the pleasure of working alongside him.

Davidson had a passion for gardening, especially cucumbers and strawberries, whose bounty he loved to share with coworkers and family. He also enjoyed cars and motorcycles, as well as spending time with his wife and son. A devoted pet owner, he cherished his cats and took great pleasure in tending to his plants. An avid tinkerer, he enjoyed taking things apart and reassembling them, creating all kinds of projects with his hands. His love for music was evident in his appreciation for country and Christian music, which brought him joy and comfort.

Davidson is survived by his loving wife Myriah Morales, son Christian Cruz, sister Eliana Cruz, mother Elizabeth Acosta, father Juan Bautista, and extended family.

Your generous contribution will not only assist with the costs associated with saying goodbye but also help us provide some comfort and stability for Davidsons family as they navigate this unimaginable loss. We also appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and messages of support during this difficult time. Your kindness means the world to us as we navigate through our grief.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Please keep Davidson’s memory alive in your hearts and thank you from the bottom of ours for your love, support, and kindness during this painful time.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Alvarez Funeral Home, 66 Passaic Ave., Passaic NJ, 07055. A burial service will follow from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Crest Haven Memorial Park, 750 Passaic Ave., Clifton, NJ, 07012

With gratitude,
