Donation protected
Nicaragua is the second poorest country in the Wester hemisphere with a high rate of the population unemployed. Since 2021 David Sánchez and his church have run a school supplies project in order to provide for the children of street vendors. The idea is to provide a better education for the next generation and overcome the cycle of poverty. Every year, the team delivers 450 individual school supply packages to 2 different rural communities near La Concepción, Masaya in Nicaragua. During the delivery day, we offer the kids a hot meal and a pinata. They really love pinata. This year, we need to raise $2000 to guarantee these 2 deliveries.

My name is Free Alter. I am 23 years old, a Fordham University Alumni, and a student of history. It was my recent journey to Nicaragua to meet my friend, my primo, and my Spanish language teacher David Sanchez that introduced me to his work. I was inspired by his desire to uplift his community through the donation of school supplies and hot meals to the impoverished children of rural Nicaragua. The children in these rural communities have needs that are positively underserved. Their thoughts and time are preoccupied with laboring to make ends meet for their families. They end up trapped in a cycle of poverty due to their material circumstances keeping them from accessing the educational goods and services they need to excel and improve their communities. Please consider donating as little as 5 dollars to help advance the cause of education and feeding impoverished children in rural Nicaragua
