On January 1st our lives changed in an instant. David Lamberti was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that left him with Traumatic Brain Injury (specifically DAI) and a long road to recovery.

Currently David is in an acute rehabilitation facility and will soon be transferred to a group home specializing in his type of injury.

He is using a walker to get around and is learning how to walk again step by step. What used to be second nature, standing, balancing, taking a few steps is now part of his daily fight. Despite the pain and challenges, he shows up to therapy determined and focused. Every single day he is making significant physical and mental improvements. The mental unfortunately, will take far longer than the physical. Drs are estimating for up to 18 months. We are so proud of how far he has already come, but the journey is far from over.

The medical bills from emergency care, hospital stays, physical therapy, medications, as well as ongoing rehabilitation are quickly adding up

David is an Army Veteran but unfortunately, the VA does not cover his ongoing treatments and after care once released from rehab.

We are asking for help to ease the financial burden and allow him to focus entirely on healing and continuing to make progress.
