Our family is asking for support for my cousin David, who recently went through a life-changing surgery and had to have his leg amputated due to complications from diabetes.
This has been an incredibly difficult and emotional time for him. In addition to the physical pain and recovery, David is facing this challenge largely on his own. His mom is currently in Korea caring for his father, who is very ill, so she is unable to be here to help him through this critical period. Being separated from his parents during such a vulnerable time has made everything even harder.
David lives in Los Angeles and is currently unable to work as he focuses on healing, rehabilitation, and learning how to adjust to life after amputation. Medical bills, rehabilitation costs, prosthetics, rent, and daily living expenses are quickly adding up, creating overwhelming financial stress on top of everything else.
We are starting this fundraiser to help ease that burden so David can focus on recovery without the constant worry of how he will cover basic expenses. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward his medical care, rehabilitation, housing, and essential needs.
If you are unable to give, we completely understand — sharing this page and keeping David in your thoughts and prayers means so much to our family.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this incredibly challenging time.
