My name is David, and I was diagnosed with prostate cancer around June 15th. Since then, my life has changed in ways I never expected. The diagnosis has brought a lot of stress, and it’s made eating difficult—I’ve been sticking to fruits and vegetables to try to manage my health as best I can. I’m currently working with a surgeon at Las Vegas Urology, and my surgery is scheduled for September 29th, 2025.
I’m facing this journey on my own. I haven’t told my family, including my wife Peggy, because I don’t want them to worry about me. That’s made things even harder, but I’m determined to get through this and recover. The biggest challenge I’m facing is covering the cost of the hospital stay, which is far more than I can manage on my own. While the surgery itself is not as expensive, the hospital bills are overwhelming.
