Support David's Need for a Life-Saving Generator

Hello Everyone,

My name is David Alberts. I live in Arden, NC.

I am raising money for a stand-by whole house generator for my home. I use an oxygen concentrator 24/7 to help me breathe due to COPD and a previous diagnosis of long COVID. Our home lost power for 10 days when Hurricane Helene came through the area. As a result, I needed to spend time at HCA/Mission Hospital, Pardee Hospital, along with two days in a local shelter at the Hendersonville High School gymnasium in order to receive oxygen. These stays led to me getting pneumonia. This was not a good situation, to say the least, but I'm thankful to still be here.

Any donations to this GoFundMe request will help me to be able to stay in our home should we lose power again, which does happen from time to time living here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The funds raised will be used to pay the cost and installation of a 26Kw stand-by home generator powered by natural gas, which already comes to the home. Any funds left remaining will be paid forward to help someone else in the same predicament. I hope you will please consider donating to my cause.
