Support David's Mission to Refuge Ranch in Mexico

Donation protected

Hello, I witnessed the Holy Spirit work in my husband, David's life on Sunday. Our church, Whiteford Wesleyan, is very missions-minded. They sent us to mission fields in Zambia, Haiti, and Sierra Leone. I traveled with the church last February to Mexico and worked with Fishers of Men at Refuge Ranch. Check out their website https://fishersofmenmexico.org/refuge-ranch and see the exciting things that happen there. Julie Claussen has built a site that houses children that have been abandoned. They range from toddler to adult. She home schools the children, provides a safe and loving environment which the kids learn to be self-sufficient and also work as a team. And... she loves them dearly. It was inspring to watch how their household worked as a well oiled machine. Our team helped move a shed, dug out a garden plot and helped in everyway we could. We enjoyed getting to know all the children and forged relationships with them. Four of my team members are returning again this year:)

The church has been planning another trip there since fall. They need to have a roof replaced and, most exciting, the team will be involved in a crusade! A chance to share the gospel with people in remote areas while providing medical care to those who desperately need it. The sign-up date has long passed and plane tickets have been purchased. I remember asking David last fall if he would be interested in going, as I had such a great experience. He said he didn't feel led to go. Sometime during the Sunday service, David felt the nudge to ask about the trip and if there was still time to sign up. Three hours later, he became a team member and the church fronted us the cost of the plane ticket!

I believe this is meant to happen and is part of God's plan. Many of you know that David has been off work since July and we have learned (once again) that God will provide for all our needs and know to trust what has been laid on our hearts. We know He is faithful!

We come to you and ask that you pray for the team. They will be leaving at the beginning of June. Prayer is needed for the health and safety of the team and that all their needs be met. We also come before you asking for your financial assistance in raising the cost of $1280. This includes airfare, lodging, food and supplies for the project they will be involved in. If He lays it upon your heart to pray, thank you! If He also lays it on your heart to donate, thank you!

We are so excited to see how God will work through this team!
