Hi everyone!

My name is Victoria Suarez, and I have the honor of serving at Journey Church. If you're reading this and also attend Journey, you've probably met some of the most transparent, open, and honest people in Central Florida—just as our amazing Pastor JJ Vasquez always says. It's true: I've encountered people with the biggest hearts for Jesus, and one of them is David.

You may know David as a greeter, someone serving in facilities, helping at Next Steps by connecting future Dream Team members, or cheering on new believers with the Baptism Team. And, of course, there's everyone's favorite—David rapping! Yes, he's an incredible rapper who can freestyle about Jesus or any topic you throw his way.

But that’s not all. David also leads a small group/bible study called God’s Plan, where he serves alongside his best friend Darren, Destiny, and I. Together, we are dedicated to discipling others and helping them grow in their walk with Christ. Week after week, David pours his heart into this group, creating a safe space for others to share their struggles, celebrate their victories, and draw closer to the Lord. His dedication to serving others reflects his deep faith and genuine love for the community.

I was inspired to start this GoFundMe because of the transportation challenges David has been facing over the past few months. Without a car, David has been riding his electric bike to Journey and everywhere else he needs to go. Rain or shine, in the cold, the dark, or even storms, he's relied on this bike. Unfortunately, he's encountered frequent issues—popped tires (multiple times), a battery dying mid-ride (forcing him to walk 2 hours home, often in the rain or dark), and damaged brake pads.

Most concerning of all, David had a bike accident about a month ago that sent him to the hospital. Praise God, he's okay, and I know God's hand is over David's life, protecting him through it all.

If you know David, you also know his heart. He has never once complained about his situation and instead gives God all the glory for providing him with transportation, no matter how challenging it's been. Even when offered rides, David often turns them down, trusting that God will make a way.

As his girlfriend, I can't help but worry about his safety. He's been diligently saving for a car, but the costs of frequent bike repairs, Ubers to school and work, and other expenses have made it difficult to reach his goal.

David is a true light in my life and in the lives of so many others. If you've met him, you know how he uplifts others with his smile, his prayers, Scripture, and his joyful spirit. He's always there for those who need encouragement, and now, I want to be there for him in a tangible way.

This fundraiser is an effort to help David purchase a car. Whatever amount you feel led to give, we are beyond thankful for your generosity. And if giving isn't possible right now, we completely understand—your prayers mean the world to us. Please pray for David's safety, provision, and that God would provide a car in His perfect timing.
