My name is Sharon. I’m David’s wife of 36 years. David is working on getting onto the transplant list for a new kidney. He will require medications, transportation needs and dietary changes before and after several surgeries so he can qualify to get on the transplant list. These needs are not fully covered or not covered at all by his insurance. We desperately need to reach his goals so he can have a chance at life. A chance to make memories with our new grandson. He’s willing to take on risky surgeries so he can have a life without dialysis. Without a new kidney, he survives only as long as his kidneys respond to dialysis treatments. Dialysis is a hard, difficult and painful task. It’s not a life worth living without the hope of a kidney transplant.
