Hello, my name is Phoebe and my husband David is currently in the hospital in ICU for a brain aneurysm, episodes of seizures, and being watched for kidney failure. There are no definite answers quite yet as to what might have caused these episodes as he has never had a history of these health problems.
He does not have health insurance, and we unfortunately aren’t eligible for Medicaid.
I am asking if you are able to and can help, even if it’s a dollar, it will help us with the continued care and any medical procedures he will be undergoing moving forward.
If you aren’t able to donate, please pray for his health and strength to get through this difficult time. We are unsure what the future holds, but God is doing His work and knows what is next. Thank you all for taking the time to read this, and please share this if you can.
I’ll post updates as they inform us of what’s next.
update as of 6:50pm August 4th
respiratory says they have no concerns with the functions of his lungs and breathing. He has to continue to be monitored on the breathing machine until he can come to.
neurology says that they want to try and ween him off of sedation to see if he can become comfortable with less sedation but continue the seizure meditation and monitoring any new seizures with the EEG.
update 6am August 5th
we tried to lower sedation to see if we could take out David’s tube that’s helping him regulate breathing but also help with the sedation drips but he isn’t fully able to follow any commands and gets frustrated which is common because the brain isn’t aware of really what is going on. The goal today they said is to get him as comfortable as possible but slowly try to get him off sedation to be able to check his functions an get this uncomfortable huge tube out of this mouth and throat.
They are also doing an ultrasound on his kidneys to check for any possible muscle weakness from the seizures he’s been having causing protein build up around the kidneys or possible blockages.
Thank yall for the prayers and the support of donations. We are very grateful and blessed. Keep it going please we need David more than ever. He is so strong and he’s fighting!
