Support David's Fight and Maria's Dedication

Hello friend and family, this is David Cabrera the husband of Maria Ortiz , Maria is my sister. I would like to take a little bit of your time to tell you about them. David had a stroke on November 3, 2023 right after Maria's mom passed away.

The stroke left David with after-effects, his right hand and right leg were paralyzed his speech was affected. Even though he showed us all that he is a fighter. After getting therapy and Marias dedication David started getting up from his bed, walking and sitting with minimum help. This picture shows his progress after all the hard work. Maria at this point had left her job that she had held for over 10 yrs as a manager/ housekeeper at a well known hotel. As you can see he looked promising, everything was looking good for them two. David was on his way to a fast recovery, but unfortunately on May 2nd. David stuff a seizure that seat him back. Sending him back to the hospital once again David showed us all how strong he is. We all thought there wasn't anything else that could go wrong, but we thought wrong once again David went back to the hospital his brain had bleed, they spent 41 day in ICU thankfully the doctors where able to insert a shunt in his brain. Giveing him one more chance to keep fighting to stay with his wife and family. Fortunately we enjoy seeing him get back on his therapy routine buy this time it was a very slow process. Then on June 3rd David goes back again to the hospital with an infection that made him septic, this made his body get out of control and that made the seizure come back causing his brain to have a major bleeding. Unfortunately doctor determined that they had done everything possible for David. After a week David and Maria where sent back home awaiting for God's will. Very grateful all of his love one have surround him with love and care. At this point David and Maria are on a situation where no one wants to be at but unfortunately life has taking them there.

We all understand that this are very difficult times for everyone but we also know that all good actions multiple. All funds collected will be used for Davids final service and his wife Maria.
