Hello, my name is David Tompkins and I was diagnosed in March of 2024 with extensive stage small cell lung cancer. I have been going through treatments ever since and currently my cancer is in remission. This type of cancer, according to my doctors, can come back without notice, but as long as it stays below my neck area, they should be able to manage it. They started me on immunotherapy that was supposed to help keep the cancer away, but I had rare side effects that caused my stomach to have issues with nerves and immune responses, causing me to have major trouble eating, and I have not had any taste buds for over a year now. They say that the doctors assigned to me are very good and are working hard to help correct the problem, but no luck up to this point.
