Help David and his family through this unthinkable time

Support David, A Devoted Father, Husband, Brother, Son, Nurse, Soldier, and Friend-- As He Faces a Glioma Brain Tumor Diagnosis

Just three days before welcoming his newborn daughter into the world, my brother David received life-altering news: he has been diagnosed with a glioma brain tumor on the left side of his brain. What should have been one of the most joyful moments, holding his daughter Aria for the first time--was instead filled with fear, uncertainty, and the beginning of a daunting medical journey. He’s a devoted husband to Kelsi, and a loving father to their nearly 4-year-old son, Finn, and their newborn daughter, Aria

David has always been someone who shows up wholeheartedly for the people in his life. As a Captain in the U.S. Army and a dedicated nurse, he’s spent his career serving others. He was just two months away from completing his master’s degree in business management, a dream he's had to pause.

To know David is to know someone who is kind, generous, and deeply selfless. He’s the person who quietly goes the extra mile for others, never seeking recognition or expecting anything in return.

David is currently receiving care at the Mayo Clinic, one of the top hospitals in the country, with surgery scheduled for mid to late July. While we are incredibly grateful he is in the best hands, the road ahead is both emotionally and financially overwhelming.

At a time when their family should be soaking in the joy of a new baby, they are instead balancing recovery, uncertainty, and the many practical challenges that come with serious illness. It’s more than any young family should have to face alone. At the same time, Kelsi is in the early stages of postpartum recovery after giving birth to Aria. She is navigating the physical and emotional challenges of life with a newborn and toddler, all while supporting David through his diagnosis and upcoming treatment.

With both parents under immense stress and two young children to care for, this beautiful family needs our help more than ever. David and Kelsi would never ask for help themselves, so I am reaching out on their behalf.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the burden of medical costs, travel, and time away from work, allowing them to focus on what matters most: healing and being together as a family.

If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing their story and keeping them in your thoughts and prayers. Your kindness, encouragement, and support mean more than words can say.

We’ll continue to share updates as we learn more in the coming weeks through appointments, a biopsy, and surgery.
