David has recently been diagnosed with cancer in his neck, a life-altering diagnosis that has shaken his family to the core. He has dedicated over 30 years of his life working as a Subaru technician, known by many for his work ethic, kindness, and quiet strength. Now, he’s being asked to fight in a very different way — not with tools or hard work under the hood, but with unimaginable resilience, patience, and courage.

His treatment plan is intense: 7 weeks of daily radiation and chemotherapy, 5 days a week. It will be grueling — both physically and emotionally — and it’s just the beginning. After treatment, David will face a long road to recovery, which includes speech therapy to re-learn how to talk due to the effects the cancer and treatment will have on his throat.

Despite all this, David remains focused on one thing: his family. Everything he’s ever done has been for them. But now, he can’t do it alone. As the primary provider, this illness means lost wages, mounting medical bills, travel costs for treatment, and so much more that insurance won’t fully cover.
