Three weeks ago, our lives were turned upside down when David “Yank,” a 72-year-old husband, father, and friend, was tragically struck in a hit-and-run accident. He was left on the side of the road with a massive head injury and has been fighting for his life ever since. Yank is currently in a specialized brain and ventilator care center in Rocky Mount, where he continues to receive critical care. While we remain hopeful and grateful for the care he’s receiving, the road ahead is long and uncertain.

Nancy, Yank’s devoted partner, has been by his side every step of the way. She is now facing overwhelming challenges—traveling back and forth to be with him, managing daily expenses, and coping with the sudden loss of income during this incredibly difficult time.
