When I was a little girl my dad and I did everything together. We went on skiing trips, motorcycle rides, fishing tournaments; basically, any adventure a dad and his daughter could think up. My dad was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when I was seven years old and started to become sick. I watched my dad, my hero, a man who was full of life, begin to have less and less energy to do everyday activities. While I never heard him complain, I know he suffered. Eventually, his diabetes and high blood pressure led to his kidney failing in 2014. After three years on dialysis, while also working 60 hours a week, my dad finally got called in for a kidney and pancreas transplant. THE OPERATION WAS A SUCESS! We could not be happier. While living with a transplant comes with it's own challenges, I'm starting to see youthfulness in my dad again. That same youthfulness I haven't seen since I was seven. Currently, my dad is unable to work for the next three months due to his operation. He has no money coming in while his hospital expenses are adding up. Right now, his insurance, medications, and living expenses are costing him $2,150/month. I have created this page to help my dad pay for these expenses so he can get out from under this financial burden and get back to living the life he had seventeen years ago. We appreciate your kindness and any amount you can spare for our cause. God bless!
