On September 26, Hurricane Helene made landfall, leaving a path of devastation and ruining people's lives and worldly belongings. One of those people is our teammate David Smith and his family. That evening, David and his family took shelter as the storm raged around them, laying waste to his house, property, and beloved truck, a.k.a. the Road Sofer. After a restless night of unknowns, the Smith family ventured outside to survey the damage and start the long and painful process of rebuilding what they had worked so hard for.

You all know David and how hard he works to support the Honeywell Intelligrated team. He is always available to assist and willing to do what's necessary to overcome whatever obstacle prevents you from succeeding in work or life. I want to share my story about how David assisted me when my house burned down on Christmas 2022. He drove 5 1/2 hours to help remove anything salvageable, store all my valuable items, and let me know to call if I needed anything. I'm sure you all have stories where David has given personal or professional assistance, so let's pay it forward.
