My friend David Shaw has always been a source of strength and inspiration in my life. We met over a decade ago, and our kindred spirits have shared both highs and lows. I was there for David as he pushed through school and then chiropractic school, and he was there for me, stepping in to run my scuba business when I needed help. David has influenced so many people through his scuba diving training and leadership, always giving his best to others.

Just as David was graduating from chiropractic school and beginning an exciting new chapter, he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Despite going through chemotherapy and pursuing every possible avenue for a cure, the current treatment strategy is not working.

David is now pursuing a holistic path alongside his medical care, but these treatments are not covered by health insurance. He could use financial support to continue this part of his healing journey.

Funds raised will go directly toward cancer treatments, travel, and expenses associated with getting to treatment centers. Darcy, David’s devoted wife, is balancing her full-time job with caring for him. If you know David, you know he would never ask for help unless he truly needed it. He is a fighter, a health nut, and a student of his illness—graciously accepting advice and always staying positive.
