Support David Pineda During Heart Transplant and Recovery

David Pineda (Bubba) is fighting for his life after being diagnosed with desminopathy, a rare genetic disorder that severely weakens the heart and muscles. Though he’s battled unexplained fainting and muscle loss for years, his condition worsened dramatically this year, leading to life-threatening heart failure. He’s now in the ICU, kept alive by a balloon pump doing the work his failing heart no longer can, and has been urgently listed for a heart transplant.

After facing a risky transplant, he faces a long first year of recovery—including months of intensive care—during which he won’t be able to work, placing a huge financial strain on him and his loved ones.
