Support David Mcpeek's Mission to Guatemala

My name is Hennie and I am helping my son David Mcpeek to raise money for his mission trip To Guatemala. David believes that God is leading him as a student at Heartland Christian School, to participate in a student mission trip to Guatemala at the end of this coming March, 2025.

At Heartland, we believe that Christian education involves Christian service, and we as students are excited to serve the Lord by sharing the Gospel with children and adults in another culture. In Guatemala, we will partner with the James Project International to help meet the needs of impoverished and abused children in a children’s home/Christian school in the small town of Monjas in Jalapa. This ministry by the name “Shadow of His Wings Children’s Home” and “Liberty Christian School” is a unique place where children who have been rescued from the streets of cities and towns in the country find a temporary home. They are educated, nurtured, and prepared to live productive lives. They can earn their high school diploma, receive vocational training and help with job location, yes, even university education in some cases, so that they will never have to go back to living on the streets again. We are excited about helping serve the Lord by loving on the children at Shadow and by helping around the project. While in Monjas, we will also probably be holding a vacation Bible school for the children, visit people in a nursing home, and help with a widow’s ministry by delivering food baskets. Our prayer is that God will use us as He wishes – certainly to share the love of Christ. Possibly, if He wills it, we might lead some to receive Christ as Lord and Savior. God has commissioned us to share the Gospel with those around us and around the world. (This doesn’t apply to everyone: David has been learning Spanish in school and he is looking forward to being immersed in the language and culture to gain more than what he can receive in the classroom setting.)

I would like to ask you to partner with me through prayer and, if possible, financial support to help David accomplish these goals and enable him to go and minister the love of Christ to the poor and underprivileged in Guatemala. I need to raise approximately $2,800 dollars. Your donation of any amount will be appreciated and credited to my account. Beyond that, our team works together on raising the funds to cover everyone’s transportation, room and board for ten days, as well as any ministry projects we will participate in (construction supplies, food baskets, VBS supplies, nursing home ministry, etc.).
