Support David Maltinsky Fight Unjust FBI Dismissal

Donation protected
On October 1, 2025, FBI Director Kash Patel summarily dismissed New Agent Trainee David Maltinsky, just three weeks before his scheduled graduation from the New Agent Training program at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. This abruptly ended more than 16 years of FBI service. David was accused of having “inappropriate political signage” in his workspace. Pride flags are not political. He had been a dedicated and passionate employee of the FBI combating public corruption, white-collar crime, and cyber-crime.

David was eager to fulfill his lifelong goal of becoming an FBI Special Agent and to begin a new chapter of his life in a different part of the country. In preparation for his post-training assignment, he terminated his lease in Los Angeles and placed his belongings in storage. His unexpected dismissal left him without permanent housing, with health insurance and benefits set to expire, and marked a sudden end to a career dedicated to public service and the mission of protecting the nation.

Any donation will cover basic living expenses, maintain health insurance, and stand against those who seek to erase who you are.

David’s Story
David began his service as a volunteer intern at the Federal Bureau of Investigation during his senior year of high school. Demonstrating early initiative and a strong commitment to the FBI’s mission, he quickly earned a reputation for being both efficient and effective in delivering results. Following his High School graduation, he was offered a full-time position and officially joined the FBI as professional staff in 2009.

During his tenure in the Los Angeles Field Office, David contributed to several high-profile public corruption investigations. In 2014, he advanced into the FBI’s intelligence program, where he supported both national security and criminal-cyber investigations.

Following the tragic Pulse nightclub shooting in 2016, David became actively involved in the Bureau’s diversity and inclusion efforts. He served in the Los Angeles Field Office’s Diversity and Inclusion program and later joined the FBI Headquarters Diversity Advisory Committee, formerly known as Bureau Equality. In 2019, he was elected as Chairperson of Bureau Equality. This collateral duty—requiring annual supervisory approval—involved advising FBI Executive Management on constituent concerns and providing recommendations and solutions to enhance workplace inclusion. His contributions in this area earned him both the FBI Director’s Award for Excellence and the Attorney General’s Award, the highest honor within the Department of Justice.

Throughout his career, David received multiple performance awards and commendations. He represented the United States in two temporary overseas assignments and, in 2022, was selected to serve as a Field Counselor at the FBI Academy, mentoring a new cohort of FBI intelligence professionals.

David’s lifelong aspiration was to serve as a Special Agent, protecting the American people from threats both foreign and domestic and upholding the Constitution. That opportunity, and the public service career he dedicated himself to, has now been taken from him.
