Hi, my name is David Lorenzo or as some may know me by my nickname Nutty. I am 45 years old and a single father of two amazing teenage daughters. Unfortunately, Ive been diagnosed with a fatal neurological brain disease known as Huntingtons Disease. It is a disease known as a combination of ALS, Parkinsons, and Dementia. I have declined in my thinking, mood, and movement. There is no cure at this time. Due to my progression getting worse I have been forced to stop working. Getting disability assistance takes time to get. My beautiful daughters and my faith in God is what keeps me pushing forward to fight. My goal is to help others as well fighting this disease as I do with my father. But again my prognosis has gotten worse so I am doing my best each day to fight. This is one of the worst, cruelest, costly, and devastating diseases yet majority of the world do not know about it. Thats why I want to do all I can to find a cure to not just help me but to help others going through this. Especially since this is a genetics disease passed on to children by 50% chance, as a father who adores his daughters, I want to find some type of treatment or cure in case they one day get diagnosed, God forbid.
