Support David, Kath, and Meredith: Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On January 8th, the Eaton Fire devastated the Altadena, California community, leaving destruction in its wake. Among the hardest hit were my dear friends Kath, David, and their daughter Meredith, who lost their home and everything inside it. What once was a place filled with warmth, love, and cherished memories is now just ashes. To make matters worse, Meredith’s school was also destroyed, adding another layer of heartbreak to this unimaginable loss.
Kath and David are some of the kindest, most generous people I know. They’ve always been the first to lend a helping hand or offer their support to anyone in need. Now, it’s our turn to be there for them.
They are starting over from scratch—facing the overwhelming task of finding a home. From basic essentials like clothing, toiletries, and furniture, to replacing invaluable items like family photos and mementos, the journey ahead is daunting.
We can’t take away their pain, but we can help ease the burden. Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward helping Kath, David, and Meredith with the basics they need to start again. Your contribution will provide them with a lifeline as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign is another way to show your support. Every bit helps, and together we can remind them they’re not alone in this journey.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and love during this time. Let’s help the Hayes/Mitchell family rebuild and bring some light back into their lives.
With heartfelt gratitude and love,
