Two months ago, our family made the difficult decision to leave behind everything we knew, moving to Reno to run the Teen Challenge Boys Rehabilitation Center. We knew the road ahead would be challenging, but we believed in the mission: to help young boys overcome addiction and find a path to hope, healing, and a brighter future. It was a chance to make a difference in their lives — and in ours.
But this selfless decision has come with a heavy cost. The center is a non-profit, and while it offers hope to many, it pays very little. Despite our best efforts, the financial strain has become overwhelming. Our family is struggling to survive, barely making ends meet, and the pressure is weighing on us more than we ever imagined.
Every day, we pour our hearts into this cause, investing in the lives of these young boys who need guidance and support. Yet, we are facing the painful reality that without outside help, our family will be forced to make a difficult choice — to leave behind the very mission we’ve dedicated ourselves to. We don’t want to walk away, but we are at a breaking point.
We are reaching out to you, asking for your support. We need help, not only to continue this important work, but to ensure that our own family can survive through this incredibly tough time. We’ve given everything we have because we believe in the impact we’re making. But now, we humbly ask for your assistance to keep going.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Your support will allow us to continue serving these boys, giving them the tools and the support they need to rebuild their lives. It will also give our family the strength to keep going, knowing that there is a community of people who believe in what we’re doing.
We are forever grateful for any help you can offer — not just for us, but for the young boys who rely on the hope and healing this center provides. Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We pray that you can find it in your heart to lend a hand during this critical time.
With sincere gratitude and hope,
The Gish Family
