Support for David F. Giesen’s Medical & End-of-Life Expenses
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of David F. Giesen on February 15, 2025, after a courageous battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). David was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family.
9 months ago my father got the shocking news that he had a rare blood cancer that had no cure. So as we all sat together with the dr my dad asked what are the options for him. He chose to start chemo treatments as soon as possible. He would get chemo every 2.5 weeks with weekly blood draws . Transfusions would happen about every 2 weeks and then progressed to sooner needing Transfusions as my dad's blood levels started to become more unstable. He fought in the hospital with pneumonia and made it out strong but shortly after we found out that his chemo treatments were no longer working. So my dad's question again what are my options. He chose to continue to fight and signed up for a new chemo treatment plan . It consisted of chemo treatments every 3 weeks along with daily chemo pills as well. Never did he ever have a single side effect from any of it . He was my superman! My hero. My dad.
He is survived by his wife Beverly Giesen, daughters Kimberly Theis , Michelle Giesen .As we navigate this heartbreaking loss, we are asking for support to help cover medical bills, funeral costs, and other end-of-life expenses. David fought bravely, and throughout his journey, he remained a source of love and inspiration to those around him.
Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world to his family during this difficult time. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping David’s loved ones in your thoughts.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
