On July 13th, David's wife Tricia and daughter Zoe were traveling across Mt. Hood on a 2-lane highway when they were struck head-on by a drunk driver. The uninsured driver tried to pass a line of cars on a double yellow line. Tricia was life-flighted to Legacy Emanuel while Zoe required the jaws of life to be extricated from the vehicle. Tricia sustained broken ribs and a traumatic hernia that will require surgery. Zoe sustained internal bruising and several compression fractures of her lumbar spine that will take a lot of time to resolve.

The car is a total loss, but we are just grateful that everyone survived. Currently, the two of them have been discharged from Emanuel and are home but in pretty rough shape. Thank God they were taken to the best hospital with the best team around!
