Support David Durocher's NC Disaster Relief Effort

My name is David Durocher, I live in Forest Virgina. As I'm sure you all know the devastation in Western NC is tremendous. And it's been hard for us to stand by and watch. As a construction company we have all the tools equipment and skills to be able to go down there and be able to help. One of our customers graciously allowed us to take some time off of their project and go to the disaster area of NC to help with the recovery and clean up efforts. We are going to be helping the local community free of charge and assisting people who have had there lives turned upside down, and have lost everything. I am bringing our entire construction crew down there. I've started this GoFundMe to help cover some of the costs of making this happen. Crew salaries, diesel fuel, equipment, food, and transportation of our equipment down there and back. We will be bring two diesel trucks, an excavator, a skid steer with grapple, dump trailer, flatbed, chainsaws and climbing gear, as well as all of the ancillary equipment, food, fuel, camping gear etc. There are several ways you can help with this effort. We need some financial support to make this happen. We are planning on leaving on Friday October 11th, and staying down there at least 7 days. I want to help as much as I can, and have the equipment, skills, tools and manpower to be able to help these people recover. But I could use some financial help making it happen. I'm asking the community to partner with me to help make this happen. 100% of the funds will be used to fund this effort. We have zero administrative costs, with all of the funding going directly to effectuate the recovery.

Also, if you wanted to come volunteer, either now or in the future, you could come with us, or they will be in need for months to come. We can only take off a long week to be able to be there but the effort will continue for months / years.

Also, we are going to be bringing a sprinter van and trailer full of goods. We will be collecting, supplies for the community. My wife will be driving the van down once we have collected enough supplies. They are in desperate need for cold weather items. heaters, small propane bottles, blankets, gloves, hats warm clothes, none perishable food items. I don't think we will be taking water as it's heavy and takes up a lot of space. But water filters would be great.
