On October 23rd, my boyfriend, David Colon, was diagnosed with Stage 3/4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Just three weeks prior, David and I had to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Tyson, who was also battling cancer. Losing Tyson and then receiving David’s diagnosis so close together has been incredibly difficult and emotionally overwhelming.
David is a Springfield police officer who has served his community for the past seven years. Due to his diagnosis and ongoing treatment, he is currently unable to work. His family and I are deeply saddened that he has to go through this, and we are committed to doing everything we can to support him during this difficult time.
I am asking for support from anyone—whether you know David personally, through his work, or not at all. No one deserves to face cancer, especially while also carrying the financial burden created by our healthcare system.
If you are able to donate, we are deeply grateful. If not, please consider sharing this or sending your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes our way. Every bit of support means more than we can express.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
