Hi, my name is Cynthia Braun, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my husband, David H. Braun.

David dedicated 32 years of his life working at Lakeland Air Force Base, where he served as the warehouse manager. He took great pride in his work and loved being part of the team. Unfortunately, he had to retire early due to a series of serious health issues.

It began with three painful episodes of pancreatitis, followed by gallbladder removal due to gallstones. Then, doctors discovered a 22 cm cyst near his pancreas, which required multiple hospital visits to have it drained and managed. As we hoped for recovery, we were devastated to learn David was diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome) — a rare form of blood cancer.

His treatment plan includes intensive chemotherapy, requiring five consecutive days of treatment every month. The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming. In just the last three weeks, David has been in and out of the hospital several times due to complications and illness.

We’re reaching out to ask for support as we navigate the mounting medical expenses, travel costs, and everyday needs that come with a diagnosis like this. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward David’s care and recovery.
