David Baker is a devoted father of four and the heart of his family. After already enduring the heartbreaking loss of his oldest daughter, his family is now facing another unimaginable crisis.

On Friday, David suffered a serious accident at work. He sustained second-degree burns and severe injuries to his leg—nearly losing it—and had to be airlifted to a trauma center. He now faces a long and painful road to recovery.

David is a hardworking carpenter and cabinetmaker who has been building his own business from the ground up, while working a full time job. He works tirelessly to provide for his family, this unimaginable injury will leave him unable to work for some time. To make matters even more difficult, his employer does not provide health insurance or medical benefits, leaving his family with overwhelming medical bills, including the cost of emergency air transport.

As if that wasn’t enough, their only vehicle is now experiencing transmission problems, making it difficult for David to attend necessary rehab appointments and for the family to manage daily life.

Despite everything he’s facing, David continues to fight and stay strong for his family—but he cannot do this alone.
