COVID-19, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, can lead to severe complications, including thromboembolism (blood clots). The spike protein of the virus plays a significant role in these complications by causing inflammation and damage to the blood vessels. David already had a thromboembolism in the left lung and must continue the monitoring and recovery treatment. As well, he must undergo an extensive dental treatment.
