Hi, my name is Alice, and I’m reaching out on behalf of a dear friend who is going through a difficult time and really needs our support. His name is David and he is one of the kindest and most generous people I know. He is one of those people who gives everything he can to others, no matter what he’s going through himself.
Over the years, David has faced serious health struggles after a car accident. He’s had multiple surgeries, dealt with chronic pain and had to relearn how to walk several times, among other physical collateral damage.
Despite all of this, David’s heart and smile have always been warm, and bigger than his own pain.
In the face of the Genocide happening in Gaza, David was very vocal and active in his support for the Palestinian cause. Despite his mobility problems and chronical pain, he didn't hesitate to participate in the March to Gaza movement, and was very active in assisting the organization. He went to Cairo and celebrated his 40 year old birthday there ♥️
In order to be able to go to Egypt, he took out a loan of €2,000 to help fund his participation in the march. His economical and professional situation are far from great (Portugal...) and taking on that loan was a huge burden.
Unfortunately, David’s situation has taken a sudden turn. A few days ago he suffered a stroke and is now in intensive care. We don’t yet know the full extent of the damage, and it’s a very uncertain and frightening time for him and for us.
He doesn’t know I’m raising funds for him, so I'm not using his real name or posting any pictures of him, without his consent.
David is a person who has always put others first, and now he really needs our help.
I’m asking for your support to assist only with a tiny part of his current struggles - the loan (wich was clearly a concern for him).
Any donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference.
Thank you for reading this, and for considering supporting David during this difficult time. Your generosity will mean the world to both of us, and I'm sure that by helping him, you will be helping all the others that will cross his path.
Forever grateful ♥️
