Support Dave's Recovery After Second Stroke

Hello everyone,

My sister, Ariana, and I are organizing this initiative for our biological father, Dave, who is currently residing in the NY with us.

On March 26, 2025, Ariana and I received news of Dave’s second stroke within a two-year timeframe. This stroke occurred three weeks ago.

Following this incident, Ariana promptly drove with her husband from New York to South Dakota to retrieve Dave.

Regrettably, Dave’s vision has deteriorated, rendering him unable to continue his professional career. Additionally, he has lost his driving license due to the last stroke he experienced while driving, resulting in the total destruction of his vehicle. Throughout his life, Dave has been a dedicated worker, and his current situation has left him in a state of complete stagnation.

Upon arriving in New York, Dave arrived with only a tote bag and the clothes on his back. He is currently experiencing significant financial stress and feels like a burden to our family, which is far from the truth.

Furthermore, Dave’s memory is also declining, necessitating the provision of constant care.

To address these challenges, we have secured medical appointments and consultations with specialists in New York , as well as access to government services.

However, we acknowledge that this journey will be arduous, as my sister’s husband is the sole source of income for our family, which comprises seven individuals. Consequently, she has made the difficult decision to cease her employment to provide 24/7 care for our father, Dave.

He has no other family and abandoned everything, including his special needs son, who resides with his ex-wife. This relocation significantly reduced his time with his son until his health improves.

Therefore, we humbly request any donations that can assist us in covering the expenses of the next few months. Our primary objective is to ensure that Dave remains in the care of Ariana, alleviating his burden and providing him with the support he requires.
